Wicker Basket

Wicker Basket is a grassroots dance movement inspired by the underground club scene and the diverse spectrum of UK sounds—ranging from garage, jungle, dubstep, breaks, to leftfield UK techno. Founded in 2022 in Yogyakarta, Wicker Basket has since grown into a nationwide platform, with active communities and events now reaching Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya, and Kendari. 

At its heart, Wicker Basket is powered by a tight-knit roster of eight DJs, each representing a different city and bringing their own distinct style and local energy to the collective. Together, they champion genre fluidity, DIY ethos, and community-led initiatives that continue to push the boundaries. 

We are more than just a party crew. Wicker Basket hosts regular club nights featuring both local and international talent, record releases and drops limited-run streetwear capsules that reflect our gritty, expressive aesthetic.
